Hostess Of The Humble Q&A's

Leslie at Hostess of the Humble Bungalow nominated me for a Sunshine Award.
I get to answer questions of her choosing and then pass the award along to other bloggers with questions of my own.

~The Questions~
~
1-How long does it take you to get ready to face the day. Showered and all makeup applied?

Getting ready to face my day starts long before the shower and makeup.
There's 30-40 minutes with tea and at least one book, lounging in bed. Next there's 15-20 minutes of meditating (if I'm good), then an hour or so of falling down the bog hole.

If we're strictly talking about personal grooming...shower, hair, makeup...30-45 minutes depending on my plans for the day.
For an evening event...tack on an extra hour or more to allow time for additional amounts of face putty and spackle...then wardrobe changes and malfunctions.

~
2- Do you think that you could write a novel?

I would love to be that clever but...no, I have enough trouble writing a blog.
These questions have taken me days.

~
3- What celebrity or famous person would you like to have dinner with?

Bomb out on this one...but I did give two answers on question eight!!

~
4- What is your favorite type of chocolate?

Organic 85% dark and bitter. Although there isn't much chocolate I would turn down.

~
5- If you could live your life in someone else's shoes for one day, whose life would you be living and why?

I'd be living my own life...but with someone else's feet who could wear killer, sexy high heels.
Sadly my feet are shot from years of dancing ballet on toe and I now live in *sensible* (read ugly) shoes these days.

~
6- What would you most want for Christmas this year if you could have anything?

A new camera...I lost mine and am limited to using my iPhone.

~
7- What is your favorite food/meal?

Potato Chips... or fresh broiled Lobster drizzled with Irish Butter.

~
8- Tell me what book(s) you are reading.

~
9- If you were dispatched to a deserted island what would you bring?

Massive quantities of sunscreen and a seaplane equipped with a pilot.
I think Tabitha's Navy Seal sounds like a great idea too. She always has the best ideas!

~
10- What movie could you watch everyday for the rest of your life?

"The Sting"... I could watch Paul Newman and Robert Redford make a patsy out of Robert Shaw (whom I adore) all day long. The period clothing and music is terrific.

I send this shout out to....
Vintage French Chic
Materfamilias
The Snowdrop Project
Tamera Beardsley
Fiona @Raindrops And Daisys

And my questions are rather pointless but here goes.

1- Who is a style icon for you?

2-What is your favorite cookbook?

3-What is the best book you read this year?

4- What one cosmetic can you not leave home without putting on?

5- What is your favorite moisturizer?

Do you see a theme here? I'm looking for "tips".

it's not always easy to answer the questions.
    I love yours!

If you and I ever get together I think we might have an Irish potato fest and an appreciation for Navy Seals.

  5. Thank you for the nomination...I am tempted to participate because I like your questions. Will let you know. I enjoyed reading your responses the HHB's questions. One of my husband's all time favorite movies is "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"...those two were a great pairing in both films. Great to look at too.

No worries about if or when. I'm still behind on lots of things. Tis the season I suppose.

  10. It was lovely to get to know you better through your answers to these questions. Your mornings sounds very much like mine, I always allow enough time to sit with coffee and read the newspaper. It is a ritual and a great way to start my day. Hadn't thought about The Sting for ages, what a great film!
