Hostess of the Humble Bungalow nominated me for The Sunshine Award where I get to answer ten questions about me, then pass the award along to other bloggers of my choosing.
Her blog is a peaceful balm to my day and I've never won anything...ever...so I'm honored.

As I tried to wrap my mind around how I would answer Leslie's questions, I get a similiar challenge, honour, award, throw down, from the lovely Tabitha at Bourbon and Pearls.

TWENTY questions!
I've never been very good at tests. I perform much better with multiple choice. At least I have a 50/50 shot at getting those ones right.
A bizarre analogy comes to mind for this "award" situation...
It's a very hot sunny day. I'm spending my day dozing in a covered cabana with several untouched books close at hand. I'm on a luxuriously padded chaise lounge set around a large, heavily populated (by obnoxiously fit people), resort swimming pool.
My Mai Tai has run dry and upon rising to cross to the bar (the little waitress on roller skates is nowhere to be seen), I don't bother to tie my sarong around my waist. Four steps into my journey...I remember my lack of sarong/coverage and become acutely aware of my jiggly bits on display as I make my way towards my refill.
Hmm...exposed.

I'm guessing these questions are meant to be answered honestly??
I can do that...I'm sure I can.
I can do that...I'm sure I can.
So I solemnly promise to work on them tomorrow.
I've answered most of them already but need to recheck my answers in the light of day and
caffeine.
If I've learned one important lesson about blogging, it's not to hit *post* after 2 cocktails.

Cocktails are mandatory if I ever have to post something - which means I really should be posting something EVERY day! Ha!
ReplyDeleteWe'd love to get daily posts from you Sulky!!
DeleteWell I enjoyed that post!!!
ReplyDeleteHope the two cocktails went down well.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours
Fiona
Thanks so much Fiona.
DeleteI was given a similar challenge last year, with 11 questions. Initially I was daunted by the challenge and didn't know if I wanted to participate. However, the process was quite enjoyable once I "got going". The disappointing aspect of the challenge that all those to whom I passed the baton did not respond...........So "go girl"
ReplyDelete(If you would like to read my response, you will find it under the tag of "Social media" at http://eiffel-tells.blogspot.com.au/search/label/Social%20media)
Your response is wonderful...when I've tackled these I may take yours on!!
DeleteOh 20 questions brings to mind a game I played when we were younger!
ReplyDeleteI agree that one needs to be mindful when mixing cocktails and the internet...
I did that once and the after effects were terrible.
LOL...I'd love to have a link to that post of yours mixing cocktails and the Internet!! Knowing your elegance, it couldn't have been that awful.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your answers. I laughed about checking them over in the light of day with some caffeine beside you. Haven't we all done that! It will be fun to get to know you when you publish the blog post. Hostess is one of my favorite bloggerss also. I hope you are having a good Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteMaybe 3 cocktails would help!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers :-)
Anne (Playing with Scarves)
Ha, so funny!
ReplyDeleteCocktail numero uno has just been poured here , bottoms up!
"Vas-y, vas-y" (which loosely translated means "go for it!") and you will see how easy it will be. I received a Blogger Sunshine Award at one point, which I then sent to my dear friend Anne of Playing with Scarves, and, following a cocktail (or 2 or 3, I forget) I had great fun answering the questions about myself.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with this and major Kudos for having been selected. You deserve it.
