I'm Sorry Lucy

It got cold here the last week. Finally.
Our house is a little drafty so I thought sweaters would be a good idea for all of us.

Lucy was not impressed.

I hope you're having a happier Saturday than Lucy.
I'm practicing with my new camera but my subject doesn't want to move around very much.

  1. Lucy should know that she is beautiful in her sweater and she should be preening, not pouting! She is adorable!

  2. I am assuming Lucy is a Yorkshire Terrier, yes? I have two of them...and they get very cold this time of year. But they will have temper tantrums if I put clothes on them, especially my little one, Coco. So I have resorted to heating pads to keep them warm instead. Can you say spoiled?

That is such a cute sweater and Lucy is a beautiful girl, even when she pouts.

    Congratulations on your new camera!

    1. She and Finn are Norwich Terriers. Slightly larger and bulkier than Yorkies...of course they are chubby. Finn will wear clothes but Lucy hates them. Refuses to move.
      Love the camera.

  3. Did you knit Lucy's sweater? Just tell me it's not cashmere . . .;-)
Have you ever read the classic children's book, No Roses for Harry? Lucy might enjoy it . . .

    1. No but I think I will knit them argyle's. Probably super wash merino. Maybe polyester (yuck) for Lucy. :-)
I haven't read that book, sounds like I might like it!!
How's the weather? We are planning a trip up soon. Love to see you.

    2. Jennifer, Lucy looks lovely! Thank you for your kind compliment. I believe the pattern did come from ravalry. Willie is now a little jealous. I had to visit a doggy boutique today to pick him up something spiffy. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Bonnie

  4. Oh, she is gorgeous! Great photos. My little darling loves nothing better than getting into one of his (many!) coats. I love how our pets let us know when they are "not happy" with us. Ha!

  5. OMG, she's just adorable and loaded with personality. Good luck w/the new camera. I am the world's worst photographer and don't own one, but feel I should have one handy when great shots occur. Would you recommend yours?

  8. Enjoy playing with your camera, though antmals are incredibly difficult to photograph ; our Lucy is a cat and about as accomodating as your beautiful little dog !

  10. Lucy may get used to her new sweater. I see many dogs here out walking with rain Macs on.
She' s quite the cute dog Jennifer.

  11. Looks like my boys when I dressed them in matching sweaters and shorts and saddle shoes. So adorable but they were not amused. So cute!

  12. Holly C... Lucy (sorry but I have no intention or resolution not to swear anymore. People say that with a French accent it sounds charming, so I like to take advantage of it. LOL): you look terrific with your LBS (little black sweater). Are you looking for compliments like so many of us?
Please, say Happy New Year to your Mom for me and tell her I wish her the very best for 2013. Happy New Year to you too, Lucy :-)

  13. This gave me such a giggle! My little Lola (a one year old Bichon) is not interested either. I had visions of a cute little white lap dog that would have several little cable knit sweaters from Mungo and Maud for the time we spend in the UK, but alas, Lola never met a mud puddle she didn't like, and bucks like a wild horse when I do manage to get a sweater on her. Oh well...
